Introduction of Editor-in-Chief
Professor ZHU Fahua is a foreign academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences and a recipient of Government Special Allowance from the State Council. He is currently the Chief Scientist in Environmental Protection of the National Energy Group, Director of State Key Laboratory of Low-carbon Smart Coal-fired Power Generation and Ultra-clean Emission, Director of State Key Laboratory of Atmospheric Environmental Simulation and Pollution Control, Editor-in-Chief of Electric Power Technology and Environmental Protection, and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Electric Power.
Professor Zhu has served as a member of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change，(IPCC) and the International Grid Commission. Currently, he is an expert of the International Dual Carbon Industry Cooperation Alliance, an expert member of National Clean Air Research Program, Vice Chairman of the Science and Technology Evaluation Committee of the Chinese Society of Environmental Sciences, Vice Chairman of the Energy and Environment Committee, Honorary Director of the China Electrical Engineering Society and the Electric Power Environmental Protection Professional Committee, Director of the China Environmental Protection Industry Association, Vice Chairman of the Dust Removal Committee, and Vice Chairman of the Environmental Protection Standardization Technical Committee of the Chinese Power Industry
He presided or participated more than 20 national and provincial science and technology projects, drafted 37 national and industry standards, achieved more than 50 patents, and won 30 provincial or ministerial level scientific awards, including 12 first prizes. He has published over 300 papers and essays, edited and co-edited more than 20 books, and authored the book Feasible Technical Manual for Pollution Prevention and Control in Thermal Power Plants, which won the Second National Excellent Environmental Protection Award for training materials. He was elected as “Chinese Scientific Figure” of the Year, won the 10th Chinese Environment Award, the Top-10 National Environmental Science and Technology Workers Award, and the Zijin-Quanxing Outstanding Alumni Award of Nanjing University.
